Garden Full of Beauties: Part1

Every morning as I awaken from my dreamland and tighten my ‘seat-belts’ to gear up for the day ahead, I feel lucky and blessed to be passing amidst a kaleidoscope of beauties by my sides. Like as if they were here to escort me, and greet me. I can feel them wishing and praying for me to the Lord… “May He bring forth Good to you always…”

1. The Yellow Beauties:

As I walk across my path, there are these tall-yellow-beauties that surround me. Its said that these sunflowers always point towards the Sun, but every morning as I leave my home to univ, and when I come back home after a tiring day, I feel these yellow-beauties are all but looking at me alone – welcoming me with their unique charm and fragrance.

2. The Ripening Red Beauties

In one corner lies a patch of my dear mother’s tiny-little-ripening-tomatoes. I’ve witnessed them growing from minute-little-whities to beautiful-big-red-ies. It amuses and me each day and every morning, to see how each of these beauties changed from the previous morning. It instills in me a strange kind of energy and passion in seeing how things can grow out of nothing but mud, sand and grains, into innumerous kinds of plants/trees, and how each plant/tree bears fruits/vegs of every kind and color – all from the same soil. It somehow shows me an overall view of Life:

One Creator, One Sustainer…One Life, One world, One earth, and yet we’re all so different, each one of us unique in some or the other way.

Management Lessons : “List Management == Life Management”

When you are too occupied with things and you are trying to manage yourselves, by yourselves (i.e. independently) it is but natural that you miss out a certain things (it just doesn’t strike your brain at the proper time, it just slips out!).

I am not ashamed to admit , that, I have had to face those problems at the initial stages of my Univ – Life. Mistakes teach you a lot! They teach you exactly the things you MUST NOT DO, so then you don’t have to worry much about figuring out WHAT to DO!

Patna: When the whole India was basking in the glory of launching of Chandrayaan- 1 it was also the turn of Chaugori Mohalla, a tiny, traditional Muslim neighborhood in UP’s Amroha district to take pride in the successful launching of the satellite. A daughter of the village was part of the mission Chandrayaan.
The villagers are very proud of her so much so that they have started calling it Khushboo Mirza’s village.

Entering the Professional Sphere thru IET : the early thoughts…

The shift and transition from School Life to University Life has brought with it lots of new and exciting things learnt and yet to be learnt. To be able to self-help, to manage your “life” independently, to develop the skills needed to be successful in a professional life, etc are a few broadly named ones…

Involving myself in the IET has added all the extra dimensions needed to cultivate and nurture an even more effective, creative, enthusiastic, and dynamic MYSELF.

An NRI Diary

The night of 28th august, when I re-united with my motherland for my vacations. As the plane landed on the tarmac, the sensation of being “home”, after longing for over a year, was boundless!

Walking down the streets, the feeling of “belonging” and “owning” knew no limits in my heart! For an NRI like me, who may have his own “home” out there in the distant lands but no “house” of his own, the feeling is indeed melancholy and nothing of an abnormality!

I want now someone to ask me why I am walkng the streets, and then I proudly reply back saying “THIS IS MY LAND, MY PLACE, MY SOIL!”

India : the United Diversity

If there is an ample example of a humongous multi-cultural, multi-linguistic, varyingly diversified yet unified entity, it is none other than The India itself – A Kaleidoscope emitting the vibrant colors of its rich cultures and heritage. To get the message through, consider this : A nation, with a Catholic head of the ruling party, stepping aside to give the PM seat to a Sikh who was sworn in by a Muslim President, where about 80% or plus are Hindus – what else can better define the “United Diversity” The India and its Indians enjoy? All these on the one hand, which add momentum and vigor to strengthen the bond of unity amongst us, there on the other are a few bottlenecks comprising of the anti-social, anti-human, anti-Indian elements who strive (despite their continuous failure) to break that bond apart! Throughout the course of time, all the Indians alike have marched towards progress and prosperity joining hands in hands. This 61st year of independence is but another open message marking the evidences and hallmarks of the United Independent India & Indians!

08-08-08 : Kewl date, aint it?

Hi there!

I somehow managed to squeeze through my busy schedule and drop in here to write this post! So as to mark 08-08-08 on my cute lil blog (lyk as if its gonna bring me luck!:))

Ordinary people like me wouldn’t care if its 08-08-08 or 09-09-09 or whtever! its for those wierd people out there, who think that a date that arises from the human creation (Calendar) is a miracle, a lucky day, n bla bla… I rather feel at peace believing its all in God’s hands!

Open up any news channel (atleast the Indian ones), and you will find them all filled with Astrologers and Pundits talking to their viewers about this great LUCKY DAY!

“Any marriage that takes place today will be blessed and lucky!”

“Its a very lucky day to propose your dream-guy/gal”

“It is an auspicious day for starting some work!”

HaHaHa…watching/listening to them makes me laugh!! Does a simple date (tht comes frm a calendar created by the mortal humans) really bring in LUCK? Gimme a break!

All that reminded me of the scenario a year back – on 07-07-07! The saammmeee old stories of Astrologers, the saaammeeee old theories of Luck on such a day!! Hah! These media people need something or the other to blabber about! There should be a limti!

Speaking of limits…today, I heard a friend say tht the Olympics 2008 inaugration ceremony was to be held on 08-08-08, all the more, at 8:08:08 (PM i suppose)!! (Lyk as if thts gonna save them frm quakes!)

An Automatic Pen

“Pen is mightier than the sword”
And as such I respect the pen more than the sword!

I was thinking of different kinds of pens – ball point, fountain, electronic, etc. I was inspired by the technique infused into all of them. We have those ancient, royal and expensive ones. We have the normally used ball point pens. We even have some technologically advanced pens – with USB Storage, Lasers, Lights, etc.

The engineers and researchers around the world are developing new and renewable sources of energy and power. While I was discussing about the renewable sources of energy and their implementation into automobiles with Faiz, it just struck to us “Can power cars with water rather than the polluting fuels?”

Everyday since then I’ve been surfing the net and reading reviews about all kinds of software and applications used in Defence, Aviation, Tourism, Automobiles, etc. and discussed with my school friends and teachers about them.
