Entering the Professional Sphere thru IET : the early thoughts…

22 10 2008

The shift and transition from School Life to University Life has brought with it lots of new and exciting things learnt and yet to be learnt. To be able to self-help, to manage your “life” independently, to develop the skills needed to be successful in a professional life, etc are a few broadly named ones…

Involving myself in the IET has added all the extra dimensions needed to cultivate and nurture an even more effective, creative, enthusiastic, and dynamic MYSELF.

After spending a full semester as a comparatively younger member observing all the work and its bearers, I am now selected as the Vice-President of the IET-KFUPM YMS headed by a close friend of mine as the President and my elder bro as the Senior Advisor (and Ex-President). So, I am quite nicely fed with the resourcefully blessed showers of management lessons every now and then from them (tht too for FREE!!).

We at IET-KFUPM YMS have a very dynamically creative and surging-ly enthusiastic bunch of young professionals whose aim is to exploit their talents and acquire much more!

I’m really glad and privileged to be a part of the IET-KFUPM, in fact it is one of the reasons I am here despite my aspirations for the NITs/IIITs of India! To work as a team, share and discuss new ideas, challenging tasks and activities, organising events, etc. all add to the “professional fun” we all enjoy at IET-KFUPM!! (ofcourse without compromising our academics!).

I’m even more glad and honored to be the Vice-President of the club, which I hope will drive my mind to think ( and hence innovate) from that perspective, teach me the people skills, life skills, management skills that are needed to cater to my Academic and Entrepreneurial ambitions…Inshallah, God Willing!

I end this post with huge anticipation of the “lovely” things I am going to learn and acquire!
